Mark and Robyn D. Kitchen Remodel

The common problem most clients have with their kitchens is that they are cut off from their homes other entertaining spaces.  The fix here was to remove the wall keeping the kitchen from interacting more freely with the main living area.  The improved site line, the additional light from kitchen windows, and the large, multi-function island, all combine to create an area that's a dream to entertain in.

The original kitchen in this home was not terrible, but it was showing it's age;  the layout, fixtures, and finishes were all outdated.  The size was good, but was not being used to its full potential.  A new plan created defined zones that flow together thanks to a beautiful color palette and a strong attention to details.  End result: a new kitchen that's handsome, fresh, and functional.

Windy Hill Kitchen

Sometimes, it's just better to start from scratch.  Out with the worn linoleum and short upper cabinets.  In with 42-inch upper cabinets that increase storage, allowing the inefficient peninsula to make an exit.  The addition of updated finishes and task lighting make this appealing new kitchen glow.

Villar Hill Drive

This kitchen was being taken over by it's appliances.  One wall was consumed by a cooktop and wall ovens; the other was taken up by the refrigerator.  An underutilized dining area took up more valuable floor space.  Adding to the claustrophobic feel were the dark toned cabinets and floors that absorbed most of the light coming in from the skylight above.  We created a more expansive feeling by removing a wall to allow direct access to the dining room; condensed the cooking area by replacing the existing cooktop and ovens with a sleek new range; and gave the new refrigerator a home of it's own, tucking it into a custom niche.  A lighter, brighter color scheme, and the addition of led strip lights, makes this kitchen come to life.  The deep-toned island grounds the space and keeps it from feeling too homogenous.
